Vineyard University

God wants you to take your next step spiritually. That could mean getting baptized, committing to take time to develop your relationship with God on a daily basis, through prayer and being in His word. Maybe God wants you to discover more about His purpose for your life....some next steps.    Vineyard University will help you in all those next steps.

Imagine a baseball diamond. At first base, our membership class, you’ll get the foundation of our Vineyard University series. Then head to second base, where you’ll find the tools to develop a closer relationship with God. Then at third base, you’ll begin to see how God specifically SHAPE’d you for ministry (Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experience). As you head for home plate, Vineyard University 401 class, will help you discover your life’s mission of sharing God with the world.

The Vineyard 101 (Membership) class is held frequently throughout the year at the church. This is a 3 hour introduction to what the Vineyard is all about; our values, our beliefs, our methods and our priorities. The class is taught by Pastor Jeff and is a time to ask questions and time to connect with others who are also checking the church out. At the end of the class, there is an opportunity to become a member of the church. This class is held at the home of Pastor Jeff and his wife Sandra.

Once you are a member of the Vineyard we encourage you to take the Vineyard 201 Class (Maturity). At this class we talk about some of the Spiritual Disciplines, especially to do with developing our inner life through prayer, bible study and meditation, solitude and more.  These disciplines are not an end in themselves but they provide a context for personal spiritual growth and maturity. The class is taught by Vineyard staff and ministry leaders.

Following the 201 class is Vineyard 301 (Discovering your shape)  In this class you will learn God has shaped you for ministry through your life experiences, your personality, your heart, skills and abilities. This interactive class will be followed up by a one on one "mentoring" time with the class presenter to help you connect more into the life of the church and into an area of service that "fits" who you are.

Vineyard 401 (Discovering your Mission) will help you develop a passion and a heart for those who do not have a relationship with God, whether geographically on our doorstep or much further away.You will also learn of opportunities to go on short or longer term mission trips or ways to serve in local community outreach events.
